  1. I think Neil Diamond is one of the greatist artists of all time. Yet, I cannot help but prefer UB40’s version better. This is one of those songs better when it’s in reggae and not accoustic guitar.

  2. Yes,Tony Tribe sang the origional, and its the best version, but respect goes out to Neil Diamond, who saw the beauty in the lyrics,so you can’t fault him for that.

  4. There was a Rocksteady/Reggae version by Jamaican singer Tony Tribe in 1969 and that was the version that UB40 heard before they recorded it, only hearing Neil’s original later.

  7. acfacf4321 is right, bob marley didnt sing this song, what appears to be bob marley singing, is actually ub40 singing. but they sound so similar.

  8. Bob Marley NEVER sang, or had anything to do with this song. Typical, ignorant, suburban white kid like you with no sense of knowledge or taste. Your screen name says it all!

  15. First of all with a name like coldplayeazy, obviously you dont belong here where good original music like red red wine gets better with age. Secondly know the background before posting any comments

  16. Good job insulting Bob Marley, go listen to your coldplay because you have no idea what you’re talking about.

  18. haha i like this song because you can lissen to the lyrics but i like the UB40 one a little bit more because it got more flow.

  19. First off what do you mean “bob marley with ub40″? Bob Marley had nothing to do with this song, and just because you dont like the original dosn’t mean you have to disrespect it, without this there would be no ub40 version.

  20. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. Are you ready? You can be!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Behold the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon! Call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be ready!

  23. UB40 is an insult to reggae. They are the Wal-mart of reggae, cheap and expendable.

    Comment by vorteks09 — April 9, 2009 @ 5:50 am

  24. Decent but I still think UB40’s is better
